Tribute to AC/DC

Okay, so Jake promises me that this the last thing he wants on the blog for a while. He has been practicing these songs for the past few days and wanted everyone to hear his music--we have been listening for DAYS! Actually, I really haven't minded at all--it has been great to see him so excited about something. He is dressed like Angus Young--same as he was for Halloween. This clip is a bit long, but hope you all enjoy!

I am impressed - how long has he been playing and who is teaching him?

Rinda,
Brian and I keep telling him he should take some lessons, but so far, he is computer taught. Isn't that funny?! He gets online and finds out how to play the songs he likes. I would like him to actually be able to read music though--but true to Jake being Jake--he believes he can play already. So why would he need lessons?!

He's obviously a natural!! Reading music can be overrated -- I can read and play until my heart is content but I can't memorize or play by ear....we all have our place in music. GOOD for him!! If he can find the love of music early -- he'll be set. Plus, the girls will love him too.:)

Libbie came running to the computer asking "Mom, how old is he? is he a teenager? He's good!"

Great job Jake!

Oh, he does not need to hear more girls will love him!!! If I could only pass around a little of his confidence with my other kids...he is quite positive the world loves him! And honestly, I wouldn't have him any other way...he is nice enough about all his "fans"! :)

Jake, you can play AC/DC really good.Your back in black is the best I've heard since Angus Young's.I've been learning the Angus dance and also singing back in black.Me and Vincent are in the same class again like we were in kindergarten and we are AC/DC fanatics!!!!

Aaron,
Have you heard the new AC/DC album, "Black Ice"? It's pretty good. The guitar playing in "Black Ice" is pretty cool. I want to learn to play more AC/DC songs. I think it's cool that you and Vincent like AC/DC as much as I do.

From, Jake

P.S. I changed our screen saver on the computer to pictures of Angus Young!

Jake I have Black Ice. My favorite song is Rock and Roll Train. If you haven't yet listen to the intro on Rock and Roll Train, it's awesome. The song Black Ice is awesome too.
